Demi-permanent colors
Demi permanent color deliver subtle, but more noticeable, color changes. They have a greater ability to blend gray and have at least twice the life of semi-permanents, washing out after about 24 shampoos.
Demi -colorants contains ethanolamine and 3% peroxide, which slightly open the cuticle. This means that the color can last up to 20 washes and will softly fade as you shampoo, causing no re-growth problem.
Demi-Permanent This type of color is very good for covering gray; it can only darken hair, not lighten it. Roots need to be touched up every 4 to 6 weeks. The formulation contains peroxide, but no ammonia.
