Semi permanent color
Semi-permanent colors are great for subtly enhancing the hair's existing (natural) color and wash out after six-to-12 shampoos.
Semi-permanent colors are formulated to stay on the hair for six to 12 washings and are generally used to cover up to 20% gray or to lighten or darken hair. These coat and stain hair, but do not penetrate the cuticle.
They don't actually lift the color - you can either vary the tone within your natural highlights or go darker.
Semi-permanent does not use the same ingredients as permanent colors and WILL wash out after a number of shampoos which varies from one product to the other .the semi- permanent color simply fades away and there is no noticeable root line so you will have no root re-growth problem.
Semi-Permanent color contains no ammonia and only a small percentage of peroxide and can only darken hair. Over time, the color fades to a translucent stain, but the roots need to be maintained to avoid a mismatched look. Semi-permanent is the least-damaging hair color process.
